The Polycom SoundPoint IP 550 is four line SIP phone with a large backlit LCD display giveing you superb interoperability and extensive features through it's easy to navigate menu.
The IP 550 features a high end fully duplex speakerphone which is backed up by wideband audio and superb voice clarity with HD Voice technology although it will fall bach to Narrowband on PSTN lines.
Integrated Power over Ethernet (PoE) is available with a dual port 10/100 Ethernet switch to give you a choice of connections on most leading SIP based call control platforms, SIP based IP PBXs and Soft switches.

An external Power Supply Unit (PSU) is included with this product.
The
SoundPoint IP 550
is a SIP telephone which will work across most VoIP telephony Platforms. These SIP telephones will require provisioning. Your VoIP telephony service provider will be able to assist you.
This is a Power Over Ethernet (PoE) enabled device but is also supplied with an alternative PSU.
So if do not have PoE, you do not need to purchase a separate Power Supply Unit.
