The Honeywell PA500 Helmet Starter Kit is a complete PAPR system which incorporates P3 level particulate protection as well as ocular, face, and cranium defence against falling objects from height.
This bundle contains everything you need to get started out of the box including the powered air unit, battery pack, charger, belt, flow meter, breathing tube, P3 filter cartridge, and the Primair PA921EU Hard Hat.
Engineered around the principles of comfort, ease-of-use and protection this solution is certified in accordance with EN 12941:1998 + A1:2003 + A2:2008 and offers a category II Hard Hat level of head protection as well as an impact-resistant visor.

Q. Do I need to be face fit tested?

No. The Honeywell PA500 PAPR solution can be deployed without the need for being clean shaven or face fit tested.
Q. Can I use the PA500 for spray painting?

Generally, no — the PA500 is designed for particulate protection (dusts) and is not suitable for most paints or solvents.
Q. What standards/certifications does it meet?

The PA500 system with approved filters meets EN 12941 class TH3 for particulate protection, providing a known level of performance.
