The BT Synergy 5100 is in fact the direct replacement for the BT Synergy 4100 Dect cordless phone.

BT Synergy Dect with SIM Reader
When you purchase a new cordless telephone imputing the details of contacts names and numbers can be very time consuming. For this reason the BT Synergy 5100 cordless telephone has a mobile phone SIM card reader / writer. This allows you to copy all of your telephone contacts already stored on your mobile SIM card, to the BT Synergy 5100 cordless handset.
In total the BT Synergy 5100 cordless can hold up to 250 name and number contacts in its phonebook. Also to make reading the information on the BT Synergy 5100 cordless Dect easier, it has a bright blue backlit display.
If the BT Synergy 5100 is connected to a telephone line with caller display activated, it will also show the incoming telephone number, and name if in the phone book.

BT Synergy Handsfree
Also built into the BT Synergy 5100 cordless telephone is a handsfree speaker with adjustable volume control. Also if you want to attach the BT Synergy 5100 to a telephone system, it has a recall button and will work on analogue extensions.
