Distributor Nimans has secured a deal to sell five new deskphone models from Aastra, including two of the endpoints made by the vendor to work with Microsoft’s Lync communications system.
Nimansagrees Aastra deskphone, now providing its resellers with access to Aastr’a entry-level 6721ip Lync deskphone and the 6725ip Lync desphone, which features a 3.5-inch LCD screen and be controlled by a user’s computer.

Nimans has also begun selling Astra’s 6731i and 6757i SIP endpoints, which were previously only available through the distributor with full system sales. Nimans head of handset sales Ian Brindle said: “Gaining access to both the Lync and SIP-based products significantly strengthens what was already a very compelling UC portfolio, providing resellers with more choice and convenience as part of a one-stop shop of products and services.”

Aastra also partners with other distributors in the UK to sell its Lync enabled handsets, including Micro-P.
