Jabra Motion UC Review

Jabra are a top manufacturer of some of the best designed and fully featured business headsets. Many are designed for classic desktop/ office deployment. However Jabra have been quick to embrace the rapidly changing workplace environment and their portfolio sports many headsets suitable for a variety of environments and working practices.
With the advent and adoption of Unified Communications ( such as Skype for Business ) headsets have been asked to be rather more versatile than the 'traditional' wired headset. Significantly headsets will need to be able to adapt to connecting to more than one input stream/ device at a time. This has lead to Bluetooth being incorporated in many lightweight and versatile models available.
The Jabra Motion UC is one of these. It sports a design akin to that of a car Bluetooth headset - a simple and unobtrusive over the ear wearing style that can be worn all day without discomfort. It differs from those by virtue of its powerful connectivity and audio capabilities :
- The Jabra Motion UC has a 100 meter range
- It can connect to smartphones, PC, softphones and tablets
- It has Near field connection ( NFC)
- The microphone is noise cancelling
- Audio is HD Wideband
- Calling can be voice activated
With all these features the model is perfectly attuned to the UC arena. ( It is also available in a Skype for business certified version )
The Jabra Motion UC will work with any UC platform including Polycom RealPresence, Avaya, Aastra Unified Communications, Cisco, Mitel, Microsoft ( SFB ), Lifesize, Oracle and ShoreTel to name but a few.
The device is sold with the following : a Bluetooth USB adaptor, a charging cable, instructions and a handy carrying case.
