Reviewing the Headset

We recently covered the unveiling if the EPOS Impact 1000 series of headsets [ here ] and continue to marvel at the quality of this headset.

The model in question here is the binaural version ( two ear pieces/ stereo ) which is supplied with a desktop charging stand and is Microsoft Teams Certified as well as having ANC ( Active Noise Cancellation ) incorporated.

What do we like about the headset intrinsically ? …..

The thing that we noticed about the headset was the build. Straight out of the box it felt like something of quality; sturdily built and with a fine finish. We charged it up ( via cable initially ) and put it on. Very comfortable. The ear cushions nested nicely on the ears. Connecting the headset to our laptop via the included Bluetooth dongle was a breeze and we soon were placing a Teams call. Sound ( very important in communications ) was excellent and, testing it with some artificial background noise generated enthusiastically by an assortment of colleagues – we found that the ANC was extremely effective in blocking out the cacophony which was great . The ANC on the EPOS 1061T would certainly be a great bonus feature if you were working in a busy office.

As we were looking at the version with included charging stand, we were very pleased to see that one could conveniently hang up the headset to charge wirelessly on the stand. With ANC activated the IMPACT 1061T will charge fully in 2.5 hours and deliver a 19 hour talk time from full charge ( with a standby of 50 hours ). Another feature which we feel is great for a busy office is the busy light – which shows that you are on a call – visible from 360°
