The Nortel Meridian 3900 Analogue Terminal Adapter (ATA) provides an analog connection to third party analogue devices directly through a M3900 series phone. To connect adapters to your Nortel Meridian 3900 Series telephone you will require a Nortel Meridian M3900 Accessory Connection Module, sold separately
The Nortel Meridian 3900 Analogue Terminal Adapter, or ATA for short, supports the following benefits for a 3900 Series phone user:
- Saves time and money by eliminating the requirement to run separate analog lines to the desktop
or use separate analog line card ports within the system.
- Enhances desktop productivity by providing simultaneous use of a M3900 series phone and other busy analog devices.
- Offers a value-added, integrated desktop solution, providing an economical analog connection to devices such as Fax machines, Laptop or PC modems (including convenient Internet access), and 500/2500 sets.
- Capable of receiving and passing DTMF (Dual Tone Multi-Frequency) or dial pulse - supporting modem communication rates of up to 33.6 Kbps.
