Q. What protection does the PA500 provide?

It offers respiratory protection against particulates only (solid and liquid particles). It is not for toxic gas/vapor protection.

Q. Do I need to be face fit tested?

No. The Honeywell PA500 PAPR solution can be deployed without the need for being clean shaven or face fit tested.

Q. How long does the battery last?
A.
Typical battery runtime is about 8 hours or more, depending on conditions.

Q. How often do I need to change filters?
A.
Filter life differs with contamination levels and work environment: Light dust exposure: filters may last several months.
Heavy exposure (e.g., stone cutting): filters may need replacing every few weeks.

Q. Can I use the PA500 for spray painting?
A.
Generally, no — the PA500 is designed for particulate protection (dusts) and is not suitable for most paints or solvents.

Q. What standards/certifications does it meet?
A.
