Prior to the redesign, the IMPACT 1000 Bluetooth wireless headsets held certification for Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Zoom. You had to choose between a UC-optimised headset or Microsoft Teams certified headset, this difference was identifiable in the name; 1061 (UC) Vs 1061T (Teams).

The new range now has Microsoft Teams (including Native Bluetooth Support), Microsoft Teams Open Office, Zoom, Google Meet, Google Voice, Unify, Cisco Webex certification, and you no longer have to choose a preferred platform. Each model holds this extended list of certifications, making it quicker and easier to connect.

Dongle, or not to Dongle…

2 models come with the new USB-C Bluetooth dongle, the remaining 3 models do not. All 5 models support native Bluetooth technology, but what is NBT and why is it important?

What is the difference between a dongle and dongle-free set up?
These models come with a USB-C Bluetooth Dongle (USB-A adapter included): 1001548 & 1001551. This means if your computer does not have Integrated Bluetooth, or an old version of Bluetooth, you can still connect and use a EPOS IMPACT 1000 Premium headset.

These models ship without a USB Bluetooth dongle: 1001591, 1001592 & 1001593.

Do I still need a USB Dongle?
No, not necessarily. Native Bluetooth works with supported devices/platforms which means you don’t have to use a dongle. If you’re in any doubt call our team and we’ll help you check compatibility.
Can I still use my old EPOS IMPACT 1061T?
Yes, the old range will continue to work. If you want to upgrade to the latest model, you can use it to lower the cost of upgrading by trading it in with us. Simply drop us an email or fill in the buy-back form.
