The Poly Sync 20
Where staff have been forced to set up home offices and work remotely the headset has been ever popular, some opting for a cheaper USB headset and some discovering the freedom of a Bluetooth or wireless headset. Some, though, have opted for a small speakerphone. There are a few models of small speakerphone (from Polycom, Jabra, EPOS Sennheiser and others) which were probably developed and designed pre-pandemic for either usage in a small meeting room ( huddle room ) or for a worker on the move. These small conferencing units are compact, portable and allow easy and clear two way conversations without the need for a headset.
Poly is a company formed from a merger between Plantronics and Polycom; Polycom having enjoyed a long history as market leader in the field of audio conferencing.
The company has just launched the Poly Sync 20 portable speakerphone which is a new take on the portable speakerphone and particularly suited for remote working.
The Poly Sync comes in several variations which are defined, predominantly, by connectivity options ( USB A or USB C ), the inclusion of the BT600 Bluetooth Dongle and whether or not it is a Teams Certified Device.
