An LED indicator adds convenience, glowing green when the microphone is active and red when muted for clear visual feedback.
Battery Life
The JPL Scout 3100 includes two batteries: one ready for immediate use, and a second placed in the charging base for standby. These batteries will provide up to 8 hours of battery life (10 hours in narrowband mode). When power runs low, you can perform a hot-swap – simply replace the used battery with the charged standby unit, even during a live call, ensuring uninterrupted operation
Simple Volume Control
Adjusting volume on the JPL Scout 3100 is simple and intuitive. The thumb wheel on the handset lets you control your listening volume, while a dedicated button on the back of the base manages your outgoing voice volume. This user-friendly design makes quick and periodic adjustments effortless
