Flexible Working With Jabra

Headsets and Endpoints for Remote Collaboration

Over the last 10 years, with the massive increase in the uptake of Unified Communications platforms and the ubiquity of the smartphone there has been a swing towards more flexible working conditions. Initially this was driven by the needs of the employees and, further, the savings for the employer. Recent, overwhelming changes to society – impacted as it is by a global pandemic, have made the concept of flexible working a necessity for many businesses.

Jabra has been at the forefront of this change. Jabra is a designer and manufacturer of audio equipment ( primarily for business ) which has brought an ever growing portfolio of devices to the market which enable and support this transition to hybrid/ flexible working.

Here we will look at the Jabra products and the solutions they represent to an evolving way of life :

%

87% of knowledge workers said that using a Jabra device boosted their productivity

%

44% of IT Managers are looking to cloud services to facilitate long-term remote work

%

73% of CFOs now believe that giving staff the choice to be flexible will improve business

work isn’t somewhere you go, it’s something you do

There are many scenarios for work, there are workers from businesses of all sizes now relocating to the home office, even many call centre staff now work from home as a decent level of customer support needs to be maintained.

We have suggested the prefect model for a variety of working conditions – but, of course, personal preference will make the final decision.

THE HOME CALL CENTER WORKER

Call centres have traditionally looked for maximum staff density, indeed Jabra made many advancements in allowing the deployment of a large number of DECT wireless headsets in close proximity. However many of these call centres have now been disbanded and staff sent home to work.
In order to provide a good level of service whilst working from home it is imperative that a remote call centre worker can be able to concentrate fully on their work and have a comfortable and easy to use headset. We recommend the Jabra Engage 50. This model is a lightweight wired headset which connects via USB-C ( though can be adapted to connect to the still popular but older USB-A ) .

THE HOME CREATIVE

Many creatives have always enjoyed a flexible approach to the working day, but in the current climate home working has become the norm for designers, thinkers and writers and other creative workers.

A creative person choosing a headset to work from home may apply different criteria to the selection process. In Jabra’s own words :

Ideal for professionals who need maximum flexibility, with superior noise isolation and incredible wireless call performance. Exceptional battery life makes this the perfect headset for the worker who’s always on the go

The Jabra Evolve2 65 has super soft and comfortable ear cushions, large clear speakers and is certified for Microsoft Teams making a popular headset choice for anyone who wants to enjoy real flexibility in their working life.

THE HOME HUB

Wearing a headset all day is not for everyone. Some may prefer the easy and occasional deployment of a desktop speakerphone – essentially a small version of a conference phone. Jabra produce the SPEAK range which includes the Jabra Speak 510, Jabra Speak 710 and the Jabra Speak 750. The Latter of these coming in both UC and dedicated ( certified ) Microsoft Teams variants.

The Jabra Speak 750 UC/ Teams Speakerphone can connect to almost any device – giving the flexibility to work in the new hybrid working environment – it can be connected directly to PC or Laptop via USB and/ or to devices such as mobiles or tablets via Bluetooth.

If you are working from home or setting up a temporary remote office you may well find that a desktop speakerphone creates an ergonomic office environment for you. The premium onboard audio will also allow one to listen to music or other audio whilst working.

The Jabra Speak 750 works seamlessly with Microsoft Teams / Zoom/ GoToMeeting and other online video/ UC platforms with fully duplex sound, a 360° omnidirectional microphone and wideband sound.
