FAQs

Cisco 7960 FAQs

Q. Can additional keys be added to the 7960G?
A.
Yes, the Cisco 7940G Expansion Module will provide 14 additional soft keys.

Q. Is the Cisco 7940G/60G PoE compatible?
A.
The 7940/60G phones only support Cisco pre standard Power over Ethernet. They have NEVER been 802.3af compliant, and since Cisco was the only vendor that made switches for Cisco pre standard POE, there is no way a third party switch would have worked with a 7940G/60G handset.
